Brought a gaggle of boys to the pool this afternoon. First time this year, since we usually swim at our friend's lakehouse once a week. Might get a pass next year... Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
So, just as Tate has started to recover from the painful mouth full of sores, Fisher said at dinner "my mouth hurts". Sure enough, several red/white sores on the roof of his mouth and inside his cheeks. I can only hope that he is "sweet and subdued" sick boy instead of "angry raging maniac" sick boy. I'm not sure I can take another week of that. Hey, at least he'll be recovered before school starts. *sigh*
Tate was watching a video of my friend's son, who is also missing one of his hands. I asked him what he thought and he said "not good". When I asked him why, he said that he didn't want anyone else to have a nub. When pressed further he said, "I don't want anyone else to be cool!" haha...at least we don't have to worry about his self-esteem. :)
When you're sick from a stupid virus that has given you a mouth full of painful sores, there's only one reasonable thing to eat for breakfast: vanilla ice cream.
Poor Tate has Hand, Foot & Mouth disease. All he wanted to do was snuggle with Millie this morning when he woke up. His mouth is full of sores and it's very sad and pitiful, but he did perk up for a minute so I could take his picture with his favorite buddy.
